Universal Wire Works X Nickel Alloy Welding Wire
Subcategory: Nickel Alloy; Nonferrous Metal
Key Words: AWS A5.11 / A5.14 Class ERNiCrMo-2; ASME
Material Notes: Nickel content is calculated as remainder. Universal Alloy X is a nickel chromium molybdenum alloy that possesses exceptional strength and oxidation resistance up to 2200 degrees F. Alloy X has been found to be highly resistant to stress-corrosion cracking in petrochemical applications. This alloy is recommended especially for use in furnace applications because it has unusual resistance to oxidizing, reducing and neutral atmospheres. Alloy X is often used for welding on jet engine parts such as jet engine tailpipes, afterburner components, cabin heaters and combustion chamber liners.
