Subcategory: Styrene-Butadiene; Thermoplastic
Key Words: SBC Poly(Styrene Butadiene)
Material Notes: Styrene-Butadiene Copolymer Customer Benefits: XK40 is an extrusion grade SBC designed specifically for superior performance in blends with general purpose polystyrene. Compared to KK38, KX40 offers greater polystyrene acceptance and better clarity. Applications: Major applications include thermoformed blister packs, cups and lids, and portion packages. Processing Recommendations: Extrusion: Melt Temperature, 218°C maximum. High shear and restrictive type screws tend to degrade the melt. Generally no need to dry resin.
