Advanced Elastomer Systems Santoprene® 201-68 W228 Thermoplastic Rubber
Subcategory: Elastomer, TPE; Thermoplastic
Material Notes: A colorable thermoplastic rubber with good fluid resistance, formulated to replace foamed thermoset elastomers such as EPDM and thermoplastic foams. The product is designed to be processed using especially adapted physical foam extrusion lines. The product is polyolefin based and fully recyclable. Key Features: Water used as physical foaming agent; Density range 0.95 to 0.15 depending on foaming agent level; Excellent ozone resistance; Continuos temperature rating 1000 hrs @ 125°C Additional processing comments: Shear-dependent. For physical foaming a special modified thermoplastic extruder with adapted foaming agent dosing device is required. SANTOPRENE rubber is incompatible with acetal and PVC. Values below are for injection molded plaques, side gated, 82.6 mm x 117.5 mm x 3.0 mm. Tensile properties measured across flow. Data provided by Advanced Elastomer Systems.
