Advanced Elastomer Systems Santoprene™ TPV 8123-45S100 Thermoplastic Elastomer
Subcategory: Elastomer, TPE; Thermoplastic; Thermoplastic Vulcanizate Elastomer (TPV)
Key Words: EU 2003/11/EC; RoHS Compliant
Material Notes: A hard, black thermoplastic vulcanizate (TPV) in the thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) family. This material has low friction and is especially designed for use as a co-extruded slip-coat layer on weatherstrip applications. It can be used as an alternative to spray-on slip-coat systems used in automotive weatherstrip applications. This grade of Santoprene 8000 TPV is shear-dependent and can be processed on conventional thermoplastics equipment for extrusion. It is polyolefin based and completely recyclable.- Designed for applications requiring excellent wear resistance, excellent weather resistance or part surface with low friction factor.
- Co-extrudable with other olefin thermoplastic rubbers.
- Designed for excellent surface smoothness and flexibility as slip-coating material.
