Advanced Elastomer Systems Santoprene® 8211-55B100 Thermoplastic Rubber
Subcategory: Elastomer, TPE; Thermoplastic
Material Notes: Description: A natural thermoplastic elastomer especially formulated to be used in combination with acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), polystyrene (PS), polycarbonate (PC) polymethyl methacralate (PMMA) and acrylic styrene acrylonitrile (ASA) for applications where hard/soft combinations are required. Since the product bonds to ABS, PS, and PC, typical applications are soft-touch, slip resistant grips and gaskets for vibration and noise control. It can be processed using injection molding or extrusion. Supplied as free-flowing pellets in 25 kilogram(55 pound) bags. Features: - Excellent adhesion onto ABS, PS, PC, PMMA and ASA (cold insert or 2K [two-shot] molding)
- Excellent finished part appearance
- Excellent processing in injection molding
- Smooth surface or "soft touch"
- Good rubber properties
- Maximum adhesion occurs 24 hours after processing
- Adhesion values can vary according to type of ABS, PS, PC, PMMA, ASA or blends thereof, tool design and processing conditions
Product Notes: Values are for injection molded plaques, side gated. 102.6 mm x 152 mm x 2 mm Information provided by Advanced Elastomer Systems.
