Arkema Lacovyl® GB 9010 M PVC
Subcategory: Vinyl; Thermoplastic
Close Analogs: Arkema, formed in 2004, was formerly Atofina Chemicals and before that Elf Atochem.
Key Words: Polyvinyl Chloride; Polyvinylchloride
Material Notes: LACOVYL GB 9010 M is a low molecular weight vinyl chloride homopolymer produced by mass polymerization process using the Elf Atochem's latest technology. Its characteristics are : - Viscosity index (ISO 1628-2):90 ml/g,(K value:60). Apparent density (ISO 60):60 g/ml.
- ease of fusion at low temperature making it particularly suitable for calendering.
- good porosity and high apparent density providing high productivity in compound mixers and extruders.
- high level of purity due to the mass polymerization process giving finished products of very good transparency.
- a narrow range of particle size distribution.
RECOMMENDED APPLICATIONS - Provides finished products of high transparency, good gloss and free from fish eyes by:
- calendering and extrusion of rigid sheets and films.
- extrusion and highly transparent sheets and plates.
- extrusion blow-molding of bottles.
- Extrusion of rigid profiles.
- Extrusion of corrugated pipes.
