Arkema Lacqrene® 1070 Polystyrene, Heat Resistant
Subcategory: Polystyrene; Thermoplastic
Close Analogs: Arkema, formed in 2004, was formerly Atofina Chemicals and before that Elf Atochem.
Key Words: PS
Material Notes: High heat resistance, very high molecular weight polystyrene Description LACQRENE 1070 is a very high molecular weight crystal for the extrusion industry. It is particularly designed for the production of foam sheet where the very high molecular weight gives a high level of mechanical properties. This grade is also used in the production of OPS sheet and film. Along with a low level of volatile material and excellent optical properties, the very high molecular weight gives: - a high viscosity which gives stable output at the die during direct gassing,
- good mechanical properties which gives strength to both crystal sheet and direct gassed sheet. Applications 1070 et 1070 N Direct gassing: clam shell containers for fast food, meat trays, insulation boards. Non foam: shower cabinets, OPS, industrial sheet. 1070 L Direct gassing: clam shell containers for fast food, meat, trays, insulation boards.
