Arkema Lacqrene® 1240 Polystyrene, High MW
Subcategory: Polystyrene; Thermoplastic
Close Analogs: Arkema, formed in 2004, was formerly Atofina Chemicals and before that Elf Atochem.
Key Words: PS
Material Notes: Very high molecular weight crystal polystyrene Description LACQRENE 1240 is a high molecular weight crystal polystyrene, used in the dilution of very high impact grades of polystyrene such as LACQRENE 7240. LACQRENE 1240 is designed to give excellent processing characteristics in combination with LACQRENE 7240 to give excellent dimensional stability and improved mechanical performance over conventional crystals. LACQRENE 1240 can be used, alone, for in-line extrusion/thermoforming of clear products. Applications: Extrusion Impact dilution, in-line thermoforming of cups, expanded polystyrene trays. ISO data provided by the manufacturer, Arkema.
