Arkema Lacqrene® 1340 Polystyrene, High MW
Subcategory: Polystyrene; Thermoplastic
Close Analogs: Arkema, formed in 2004, was formerly Atofina Chemicals and before that Elf Atochem.
Key Words: PS
Material Notes: High molecular weight crystal polystyrene Description LACQRENE 1340 is a high molecular weight crystal polystyrene which allows maximum dilution rates with high impact polystyrene grades such as LACQRENE 7240. In dilution, LACQRENE 1340 gives excellent processing in both extrusion and thermoforming with good finished product dimensional stability. The mechanical properties of the lubricated version (LACQRENE 1340 L) show improvements over certain polystyrene grades of the same flow. Applications:Extrusion In-line extrusion/thermoforming, dilution of very high impact polystyrene grades, anionic styrene-butadiene copolymer dilution, direct gassing for thick insulation board. ISO data provided by the manufacturer, Arkema.
