Arkema Lacqrene® 1541 Polystyrene, High Flow
Subcategory: Polystyrene; Thermoplastic
Close Analogs: Arkema, formed in 2004, was formerly Atofina Chemicals and before that Elf Atochem.
Key Words: PS
Material Notes: Easy flowing crystal polystyrene designed for extrusion or injection applications. In extrusion, it improves extruder output and thermoforming cycle times when mixed with a super high impact polystyrene such as LACQRENE 7240. Having high gloss, it is particularly suitable for glossy-layer co-extrusion. In injection molding, 1541 possesses low viscosity at high shear rate. It does combine excellent fluidity with a higher softening point than 1810/1811. Applications: Injection Packaging articles, medical application, e.g. Petri dishes, office equipment, CD boxes and audio cassettes, pen barrels, crisper boxes for refrigerators, cups. ISO data provided by the manufacturer, Arkema.
