Arkema Lacqrene® 7240 Polystyrene, High Impact
Subcategory: Polystyrene; Thermoplastic
Close Analogs: Arkema, formed in 2004, was formerly Atofina Chemicals and before that Elf Atochem.
Key Words: PS
Material Notes: Very high impact polystyrene for the extrusion industry. This grade has been designed to be diluted with crystal polystyrene (such as LACQRENE 1240, 1340 or 1540) at higher levels than could be achieved by some comparable high impact polystyrenes. The good melt strength of this grade makes it particularly suited for deep-draw thermoforming. LACQRENE 7240 is available in White. Applications: Extrusion; Dairy sheet, co-extrusion (with EVOH, PE... ) in dilution with crystal, industrial sheet, thermoforming Cups, trays, egg boxes, general packaging ISO data provided by the manufacturer, Arkema.
