Material Notes: Borstar 3446 is a bimodal, cadmium free, medium density polyethylene compound designed for coextrusion of yellow identifying stripes. It is fully stabilized against thermal degradation and the die build-up during extrusion is minimized. Furthermore, it has a highly covered pigment that gives a bright yellow stripe even when extruded as a thin layer on a black pipe. It also contains UV-stabilizer to ensure excellent weathering resistance.Borstar 3446 is recommended for identifying stripes of black pipe for natural gas produced from Borstar ME3440.
