Shell Carilon® DP R1130 Polyketone, 30% Glass Fiber Reinforced Development Product
Subcategory: Polyketone; Thermoplastic; Polymer
Material Notes: Shell announced in Feb. 2000 that the Carilon product line is being discontinued. CARILON® Thermoplastic Polymer DP R1130 is a 30 percent glass fiber reinforced compound based on a developmental engineering polyketone resin available in natural and black from Shell Chemical Company. Due to the base polymer's balance of stiffness, toughness and chemical resistance coupled with its easy processing, this compound is expected to find application in the appliance, automotive, electrical and other industries.Data provided by Shell Chemical.
