Dow Buna® cis 132 High-cis polybutadiene rubber (nickel catalyzed) for tires and rubber articles
Material Notes: Buna® cis 132 - Schkopau is a stereospecific polybutadiene with high cis-1,4 content. It is manufactured by a solution process using an organo-metallic catalyst which produces a consistent light colored polymer with low ash content. It contains a non-staining stabilizer. Buna® cis 132 is widely used in the tire industry but also in the manufacture of conveyor belts and other rubber articles which are exposed to high stress. It offers good abrasion resistance, high resilience, low hysteresis, and low glass transition point which results in better low temperature performance. Buna® cis 132 offers excellent processability and may be blended with natural rubber and styrene butadiene (SBR), isoprene (IR), nitrile (NBR), or polychloroprene (CR) synthetic rubbers. The non-staining stabilizer allows manufacture of colored rubber articles also when compounded with selected thermoplastics. It is supplied in bales weighing 25 kg. Bales are wrapped in 50 micron PE film. Information provided by Dow
