Material Notes: STYRON™ A-TECH™ 6079 is an ignition resistant polystyrene (IRPS) resin designed specifically for consumer and business electronics applications that demand excellent aesthetics, along with a strong blend of toughness and flow/process-ability characteristics. Its high melt flow enables faster cycle times and better flow molding, which reduces scrap/waste. In addition, the molder has a wider operating window with the parameters for larger tools. Available in five colors: Natural, Light Gray, Gray #5, Gray, and Black.
Applications - Consumer electronics: larger size TV cabinets
- Large and/or hard-to-fill parts (including no-paint)
- Small portable electronics: cellular phones, pagers, etc.
