Dow SE PB-5800 Low-cis polybutadiene rubber (lithium-catalyzed) for plastics modification
Subcategory: Elastomer, TS; Thermoset
Material Notes: SE PB-5800 is a low-cis polybutadiene synthetic rubber. It is produced by anionic solution polymerization which affords polymers with very controlled micro- and macrostructure. SE PB-5800 is translucent to white in appearance and contains a non-staining stabilizer which complies with compositional requirements of the food packaging regulations of European countries and the USA. SE PB-5800 is used to manufacture toughened polystyrene or ABS, supporting grafting processes with its content of reactive vinyl groups. SE PB-5800 is supplied in bales weighing 30 kg. Bales are wrapped in 70 micron polystyrene film. Information provided by Dow
