DuPont Surlyn® 9020 Ionomer Resin, Zinc
Subcategory: Ionomer; Thermoplastic
Key Words: Ethylene/Methacrylic Acid (E/MAA) Copolymer
Material Notes: Surlyn® 9020 thermoplastic resin is an advanced ethylene/methacrylic acid (E/MAA) copolymer, in which the MAA acid groups have been partially neutralized with zinc ions. The resin contains an additional co-monomer to facilitate its use as a modifier for toughened grades of nylon 6 and 6/6. The amount of MAA and neutralization levels for this grade are optimized to impart low-temperature toughness. The resin complies with the provisions of U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Title 21 Code of Regulations 177:1330 - ionomer resins.Data provided by the manufacturer.
