DuPont Surlyn® 9150 Ionomer Resin, Zinc
Subcategory: Ionomer; Thermoplastic
Key Words: Ethylene/Methacrylic Acid (E/MAA) Copolymer
Material Notes: Surlyn® 9150 thermoplastic resin is an advanced ethylene/methacrylic acid (E/MAA) copolymer, in which the MAA acid groups have been partially neutralized with zinc ions. The high MAA content and mid-range neutralization level for this grade creates an exceptional combination of strengths: toughness, low-temperature toughness, tear resistance, excellent clarity, and high stiffness compared with other grades of Surlyn®. The resin is optimized for injection molding. It complies with the provisions of U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Title 21 Code of Regulations 177:1330 - ionomer resins.Data provided by the manufacturer.
