DuPont Elvax® 3128 Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate Copolymer Resin for Blown Film
Subcategory: Ethylene Vinyl Acetate; Thermoplastic; Polymer
Key Words: EVA; DuPont Packaging Polymers
Material Notes: 8.9 wt% Vinyl Acetate. Elvax® 3128 is an extrudable ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer resin available in pellet form for use in conventional extrusion equipment designed to process polyethylene resins. General Processing Information: Resin melt temperature should be maintained in the range 150-175°C (300-350°F) to provide a suitable viscosity for blown film extrusion. Selection of a specific melt temperature will depend on considerations such as desired gauge, height of tower or cooling capacity, optical properties and winder and other machine variables. Excessively high melt temperatures, above 230°C (450°F) may cause thermal degradation of the resin. Information provided by DuPont Packaging Polymers.
