DuPont Elvax® 3182 Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate Copolymer Resin for Coextrusion
Subcategory: Ethylene Vinyl Acetate; Thermoplastic
Key Words: EVA; DuPont Packaging Polymers
Material Notes: 28 wt% Vinyl Acetate. Elvax® 3182-2 is an extrudable ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer resin available in pellet form for use in conventional extrusion equipment designed to process polyethylene resins. Additives: No slip, No antiblock, Non-BHT antioxidant. General Processing Information: Resin melt temperature should be maintained in the range of 160-215°C (320-420°F) to provide a suitable viscosity for coextrusion in either blown film or cast film applications. Selection of a specific melt temperature will depend not only upon machine variables but also upon the substrate type. Excessively high melt temperatures, above 230°C (446°F) may cause thermal degradation of the resin. Information provided by DuPont Packaging Polymers.
