DuPont Nucrel® 0407 Ethylene-Methacrylic Acid Copolymer Resin for Extrusion Coating/Laminating
Subcategory: Ethylene Methyl Acrylate; Thermoplastic
Key Words: DuPont Packaging Polymers
Material Notes: 4 wt% Methacrylic Acid. Nucrel® 0407 is an ethylene-methacrylic acid copolymer resin available for use in conventional extrusion coating, coextrusion coating, and extrusion laminating equipment designed to process polyethylene resins. Features/Benefits vs. PE: Better adhesion to unprimed foil, paper and metallized film provides better substrate protection for improved structure reliability and barrier integrity. This product provides good adhesion to PE. Lower seal initiation temperature allows higher speed packaging. Better hot tack, sealability through contamination and heat seal strength provides stronger, more reliable heat seals. Typical Applications: Foil-containing shampoo, toothpaste, towelette, condiment and miscellaneous non-food pouches and sachets. Snack structures. Other foil, metallized film, or paper coatings as a heat seal or tie layer. Information provided by DuPont Packaging Polymers.
