DuPont Nucrel® 0908HS Ethylene-Methacrylic Acid Copolymer Resin for Film and Extrusion Coating/Laminating
Subcategory: Ethylene Methyl Acrylate; Thermoplastic; Polymer
Key Words: DuPont Packaging Polymers
Material Notes: 9.2 wt% Methacrylic Acid. Nucrel® 0908HS is an ethylene-methacrylic acid copolymer resin available for use in conventional extrusion coating, coextrusion coating, and blown/cast film operations designed to process polyethylene resins. Typical Applications: Foil-containing shampoo, toothpaste, towelette, condiment and miscellaneous non-food pouches and sachets; Snack structures; Other foil, metallized film, or paper coatings as a heat seal or tie layer. Features & Benefits: Excellent adhesion to unprimed foil, paper and metallized film provides substrate protection for improved structure reliability and barrier integrity. Very good adhesion to low density polyethylene. Enhanced thermal stability for better extrusion and purging, improved extrusion web stability, and reduced gel formation. High drawability for high speed, thin gauge coating applications. Low seal initiation temperature allows for high speed packaging. Good hot tack, sealability through contamination and heat seal strength provide strong, reliable heat seals. Information provided by DuPont Packaging Polymers.
