DuPont Nucrel® 1207 Ethylene-Methacrylic Acid Copolymer Resin for Extrusion Coating/Laminating
Subcategory: Ethylene Methyl Acrylate; Thermoplastic
Close Analogs: This grade is no longer in the DuPont product line
Key Words: DuPont Packaging Polymers
Material Notes: 12 wt% Methacrylic Acid. Nucrel® 1207 is an ethylene-methacrylic acid copolymer resin available for use in conventional extrusion coating, coextrusion coating, and extrusion laminating equipment designed to process polyethylene resins. Features/Benefits: Excellent adhesion to unprimed foil, paper, and metallized film. Provides substrate protection for improved structure reliability and barrier integrity. Can be extruded at low temperatures for insurance against off-tastes and off-odors. Low seal initiation temperature allows higher speed packaging. Very good hot tack, sealability through contamination, and heat seal strength provide strong, reliable heat seals. Typical Applications: Foil-containing shampoo, toothpaste, towelette, condiment and miscellaneous non-food pouches and sachets; Snack structures; Other foil, metallized film, or paper coatings as a heat seal or tie layer.
