DuPont™ Surlyn® 9945 Thermoplastic Ionomer Resin
Subcategory: Ionomer; Thermoplastic
Close Analogs: This grade is no longer in the DuPont product line
Material Notes: Surlyn® 9945 provides high flow properties and consistent, easy processing behavior in molded and extruded applications. It is positioned in the medium/high acid, high neutralization area of the ionomer spectrum. Surlyn® 9945 is ideal for applications where fast molding cycles at reduced molding temperatures are desired. The high flow characteristics also facilitate molding in thin sections. Surlyn® 9945 is used primarily in blends with other ionomers, such as Surlyn®8945, to provide improved cut resistance and impact durability, as well as increased resiliency and coefficient of restitution.
