FormulationViton® 8505 | 50 | Viton® 8500 | 50 | N990 Carbon Black | 30 | Zinc Oxide | 3 | Diak™ 7 | 3 | Varox® DBPH-50 | 3 | Description: VTR-8505 is a new 64% fluorine, peroxide-cured, low-temperature Viton® fluoroelastomer similar to VTR-8500 but with a significantly lower gum polymer viscosity of ~25 (ML at 121°C). VTR-8505 utilizes revolutionary new Advanced Polymer Architecture technology which includes a new peroxide cure site along with an optimized molecular weight distribution designed to deliver a polymer which:- Is ideal for blending with VTR-8500 to reach intermediate viscosity ranges
- Cures exceptionally fast to a high state of cure
- Shows improved mold release/mold fouling properties compared to Viton® GLT and GLT-305
- Shows improved mold flow and less shear sensitivity than 65 Mooney VTR-8500
- Shows excellent physical properties with high elongation, both original and aged
- Shows similar heat, fluids, and low temperature resistance compared to Viton® GLT and GLT-305
- Shows improved water resistance/volume swell in water compared to Viton® GLT and GLT-305
- Shows excellent compression set resistance with either low or no postcure
