Material Notes:
FormulationVTR-8600 | 100 | Zinc Oxide | 3 | N990 Carbon Black | 30 | Diak™ 7 (TAIC) | 3 | Luperox® 101-XL 45 | 3 | Description: VTR-8600 is a new, 70% fluorine peroxide cured polymer similar to Viton® GF but utilizes DuPont Dow's new Advanced Polymer Architecture technology which significantly improves processing and curing characteristics. Advanced Polymer Architecture technology in VTR-8600 upgraded the peroxide cure site along with optimizing the molecular architecture to deliver a polymer which:- Cures exceptionally fast to a high state of cure
- Shows improved mold release/mold fouling properties compared to Viton® GF
- Shows improved mold flow, less shear sensitivity, and lower extruder die swell for a ~65 Mooney FKM
- Shows excellent physical properties with high elongation, both original and aged
- Shows similar heat, fluids, and low temperature resistance compared to Viton® GF
- Shows excellent compression set resistance with little (2 hr) or no postcure
When mixing VTR-8600 in an internal mixer it is recommended that at least a 70% load factor be used. Information provided by manufacturer.
