DuPont Elastomers Viton® FreeFlow™ Z-200 Process Aid
Subcategory: Fluoropolymer; Additive/Filler for Polymer; Thermoplastic
Close Analogs: This former DuPont Dow Elastomers product line is now produced by DuPont Performance Elastomers.
Material Notes: Description: Viton® FreeFlow™ Z200 is a process aid for polyolefins combining an improved rheology fluoroelastomer with a highly thermally stable surface active agent to provide outstanding process aid performance through the full range of polyolefin processing conditions. Viton® FreeFlow™ Z200 eliminates melt fracture, reduces die pressure and torque, reduces power requirements and reduces die buildup. Viton® FreeFlow™ Z200 incorporates a highly efficient surface active agent which gives excellent process aid performance even under the most severe line conditions. It conditions quickly and efficiently and can tolerate higher processing temperatures than other fluoroelastomer processing aids.Advantages: - Improved rates of conditioning when starting new lines or purged systems
- Improved performance on difficult to condition lines or with difficult formulations without the need for high additive levels often required with current process aids
- Improved economics
- Excellent thermal stability (up to 300°C) for cast film lines where other additives show degradation
- Improved performance in combined masterbatches with pigments
- Improved resistance to interactions
- Applications for food contact approval have been filled
