Dow MAGNUM® 2620 ABS, Impact Grade
Subcategory: ABS Polymer; Thermoplastic
Key Words: Poly(Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene)
Material Notes: MAGNUM® ABS resins are thermoplastic materials which provide an excellent balance of processability, impact resistance and heat resistance as imparted by the various polymer compositions. MAGNUM ABS resin are available in a wide range of melt flow rates, impact strength and heat resistance for both high and low gloss applications manufactured by injection molding, sheet or profile extrusion and thermoforming. The 2600 series of MAGNUM ABS resins are designated for use in healthcare applications. Both high and low gloss resins are available which have passed the USP XXIII Class IV medical testing. Other non-USP classified testing is also done on the MAGNUM 2600 series of ABS resins to evaluate the biocompatibility of the resins. MAGNUM 2620 ABS resin is a high gloss ABS with slightly higher impact strength over 2610 and has a slightly lower melt flow rate. MAGNUM 2620 represents the balance between flow and impact strength in the high gloss resins. Data provided by Dow Chemical.
