Dow MAGNUM® 4455 ABS
Subcategory: ABS Polymer; Thermoplastic
Key Words: Poly(Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene)
Material Notes: MAGNUM® ABS resins are thermoplastic materials which provide an excellent balance of processability, impact resistance and heat resistance as imparted by the various polymer compositions. MAGNUM ABS resin are available in a wide range of melt flow rates, impact strength and heat resistance for both high and low gloss applications manufactured by injection molding, sheet or profile extrusion and thermoforming. THE MAGNUM 4400 series of ignition resistant ABS resins are specifically engineered for information and technology equipment applications. These resins can be injection molded or extruded into applications like monitors, copiers and printers; housings and surge protectors. MAGNUM 4455 ABS resin is ignition resistant with excellent processability and practical toughness. MAGNUM 4455 also is color stable having less that 1 unit (E color change when tested with the Xenon Arc ASTM D4459-86 test method on white and light gray colors. Data provided by Dow Chemical.
