| Dow MAGNUM® 800 ABS  Subcategory: ABS Polymer; Thermoplastic Key Words: Poly(Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) Material Notes: MAGNUM® ABS resins are thermoplastic materials which provide an excellent balance of processability, impact resistance and heat resistance as imparted by the various polymer compositions. MAGNUM ABS resin are available in a wide range of melt flow rates, impact strength and heat resistance for both high and low gloss applications manufactured by injection molding, sheet or profile extrusion and thermoforming.
The sheet and thermoforming grades of MAGNUM ABS resins provide excellent high and low gloss aesthetics, good thermal color stability, heat and impact resistance and stiffness for uses such as luggage, tool cases, burial vault liners, signs and recreation vehicle applications. Offering ranges in melt flow rates from 1.0 to 4.0, sheet Izod impacts from 130 to 560 J/m and sheet flexural modulus from 1960 to 2070 MPa, MAGNUM ABS resins can fill a variety of needs. MAGNUM 800 ABS resin has slightly higher flow and higher impact strength than MAGNUM HPC 952. With a sheet Izod impact strength of 530 J/m, MAGNUM 800 ABS resin also offers medium gloss and the whitest base resin color of the MAGNUM sheet grades. Data provided by Dow Chemical.
