Material Notes: PRIMACOR® 3440 polymer containing 9.5% comonomer is an extrusion/ coextrusion coating and laminating for flexible packaging applications. It is designed to provide excellent hot tack and adhesion to metallic, paper and polyethylene substrates, with excellent heat seal strength, even through many oily and powdered products. This resin also offers outstanding resistance to delamination, as well as excellent toughness and environmental stress crack resistance. When used unmodified for food packaging applications, this resin complies with the U.S. Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act as amended under Food Additive Regulation 21 CFR 177.1310(b). This resin will also comply with 21 CFR 175.105, 176.170(b), 176.180, and 178.1005. The regulations should be consulted for complete details. Data provided by Dow Chemical.
