Material Notes: PRIMACOR® 5980I dispersible polymer is an ethylene acrylic acid copolymer (20 wt % comonomer) which is dispersible in aqueous alkali and amines. Excellent adhesion to metallic, cellulosic, glass and other substrates are achievable. It also offers low heat seal temperature, high hot tack, excellent water, grease and oil resistance, high gloss, excellent clarity, low odor, and high wet strength retention. It is crosslinkable and is a versatile binder for nonwoven fibers including polypropylene, polyester, glass, and nylon etc. When used unmodified for food packaging applications, this resin complies with the U.S. Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act as amended under Food Additive Regulation 21 CFR 177.1310(c).
