Dyneon™ 1705 Modified PTFE Powder
Subcategory: Fluoropolymer; Thermoplastic; PTFE
Key Words: Polytetrafluoroethylene; Dyneon PTFE
Material Notes: Type II, gr. 1 PTFE. Dyneon™ TFM™ 1705 PTFE is a second-generation modified polytetrafluoro-ethylene (PTFE) that maintains the exceptional chemical and heat resistance properties of first-generation PTFE, but with a significantly lower melt viscosity giving better particle fusion during sintering and smoother surfaces. Dyneon TFM 1705 PTFE has an adjusted melt viscosity. This gives higher stability for better performance in large billet production with reduced scrap in film skiving. It is a non-free-flowing compression molding powder and is the material of choice for diaphragms and other tough flex fatigue applications.Data provided by Dyneon.
