Dynasol Solprene® 412 Thermoplastic Elastomer
Subcategory: Elastomer, TPE; Thermoplastic
Material Notes: Solprene 412 is a radial oil extended styrene butadiene block copolymer having 30% of styrene content, most of it forming a polystyrene block which gives the polymer a thermoplastic behavior. It is oil-extended with 6 phr of Paraffinic oil. It develops properties of vulcanized rubber yet not requiring vulcanization. It is protected with a non staining antioxidant system and is essentially gel free with a very clear color. Solprene 412 is used as elastomeric modifier for asphalt and in shoe sole compounding, injection molding and other thermoplastic crafts. It is available as free flowing pellets in standard paper bags, super-sacs and Gaylord boxes. Information provided by Dynasol.
