Dynasol Solprene® 1430 Styrene-Butadiene Rubber SBR Diblock Copolymer
Subcategory: Polystyrene; Elastomer, TPE; Styrene-Butadiene; Styrenic TPE
Material Notes: Solprene 1430 is a high molecular weight linear random -block styrene/butadiene copolymer having 40% of styrene content, 30% present as a polystyrene block. A choice of either BHT free or phosphite free non-staining antioxidant systems is available, all FDA approved for use in food contact applications. It is a high purity polymer, essentially gel free with a very clear color. S-1430 is used as elastomeric impact modifier for plastics, especially in high gloss HIPS by the “in situ” polymerization process. It is also used in vulcanized shoe soles giving high hardness, flexibility and abrasion resistance with good processability. It is available in bales wrapped in rubber modified polystyrene film soluble in styrene monomer.Applications: Information provided by Dynasol
