Eastman Chemical Polyethylene E6838-975F
Subcategory: Polyethylene; Thermoplastic; LDPE; Polymer
Key Words: Impact strength and processability
Material Notes: E6838-975F is a low density formulation with medium slip and medium antiblock. The formula is used in general purpose packaging where impact strength and processability are important. End-use film applications include bread bags, produce bags, and industrial liners List of Applications: - Bread bags
- Food packaging
- Industrial liners
- Produce bags
E6838-975F meets the requirements of FDA regulations at 21 CFR 177.1520(c)(2.2) and may be used as a component of packages used for holding food during cooking. However, the polymer thickness in the form in which it contacts food shall not exceed 0.005 inches and contact is limited to non-alcoholic food because of a regulatory limitation for an adjuvant substance in this formulation.
