Material Notes:
Special polystyrene alloy for extrusion which combines very high impact strength and excellent chemical resistance to chemicals, oils and fatty foods. Koblend PD P 479 is mainly recommended as monolayer or as coextruded protective layer for refrigerator applications.

Applications: Extrusion of sheets for refrigeration industry as monolayer or coextruded on ESCR-HIPS for the thermoforming of inner liners where HCFC-141b is used as blowing agent for the insulating PU foam.

Koblend PD P 479 satisfies UL94 HB at 1.5 mm (internal test). This grade in natural version complies by composition with the requirements set by the main Regulations for plastic materials intended for food contact (included the EEC Directive 90/128 and following amendments).
