Subcategory: Polyethylene; Thermoplastic; LDPE; Polymer; Equistar Low Density Polyethylene; Equistar Polyethylene
Key Words: LDPE
Material Notes: Applications PETROTHENE NA 340 is a LDPE/EVA copolymer resin designed for quality bags and special film applications requiring clarity and excellent impact strength. Typical applications include heavy produce, textile and frozen food packaging.
Certification NA 340 meets the requirements of the Food and Drug Administration regulation 21 CFR 177.1350. This regulation allows the use of this ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer "…in articles or components of articles intended for use in contact with food." Specific limitations or conditions of use may apply. Contact your Equistar sales representative for more information.
Processing Techniques NA 340 is processed readily by standard blown film extrusion techniques. A processing melt temperature of 300°-375°F is suggested for this resin. Specific recommendations for the processing of NA 340 can only be made when the processing conditions, equipment and end use are known. For further suggestions, contact your Equistar sales representative.
