Fibre Glast 1110 CC Vinyl Ester Resin (Casting Properties)
Subcategory: Vinyl Ester; Thermoset
Material Notes: #1110 is a low viscosity, corrosion resistant vinyl ester resin. It is formulated for maximum corrosion resistance to most fuels, vapors, and both acidic and basic chemicals. It is also heat resistant and blended for toughness. The raw materials used in the manufacture of this resin are listed as acceptable in FDA regulatory Title 21 CFR 177.2420 for repeated use in contact with food subject to compliance with the prescribed limitation of that regulation.
Performance:- Excellent corrosion resistance
- Excellent impact strength
- High tensile elongation
- FDA application
Properties listed typical cured casting, catalyzed with 1% BPO, cured two hours at 160°F then one hour at 200°F, post cured two hours at 280°F. See also: "Vinyl Ester Resin (Laminate Properties)" for information on that application. Can be used for hand lay-up and spray-up, filament winding, flake glass and filled lining and coating compounds. Perfect for repairing tank linings, blistering boat hulls, and fabricating tough all-around parts. Information provided by Fibre Glast Developments Corporation.
