Total 7471BC Polypropylene, Film Extrusion Grade
Subcategory: Polypropylene; Thermoplastic; Polymer
Close Analogs: Total Petrochemicals now includes former Fina and Atofina plastics product lines.
Material Notes: Random copolymer heat sealable film grade Color - Low catalyst residuals in FINA 7471BC result in improved color stability. Clarity/Impact - The random copolymer structure of FINA 7471BC improves its clarity and impact resistance over conventional homopolymer films. Heat Sealable - The reduced melting point of FINA 7471BC makes it suitable as a heat seal layer for oriented films. Slip/Antiblock - FINA 7471BC is formulated with a custom slip and antiblock packages for improved film handling. FDA - FINA 7471BC complies with all applicable FDA regulations for food contact applications. Recommended Applications - FINA 7471BC is recommended for use in either non-oriented cast film processes for manufacture of packaging films that require improved optical and impact properties or as a heat seal layer for oriented films. Processing - FINA7471BC resin processes on film extrusion equipment with typical melt temperatures of 450-525°F (232-274°C). Data provided by the manu
