Total Lacqrene® 1240 Crystal Polystyrene
Subcategory: Polystyrene; Thermoplastic
Close Analogs: Total Petrochemicals now includes former Fina and Atofina plastics product lines.
Material Notes: LACQRENE® 1240 is a high molecular weight crystal polystyrene, used in the dilution of high impact grades of polystyrene such as LACQRENE® 7240 or clear impact polystyrene such as Finaclear 520. LACQRENE® 1240 is designed to give excellent processing characteristics in combination with LACQRENE® 7240 and to give excellent dimension ability and improved mechanical performance over conventional crystals. When used pure, LACQRENE® 1240 is processed by extrusion and inline thermoforming or injection molding. Application Clear/colored cups, Objects by dilution with CLIPS/HIPS by extrusion thermoforming. Foamed polystyrene trays, Shower screens, Products with excellent mechanical properties obtained by injection molding. Information provided provided by Total Petrochemicals.
