Finathene® SI 508, HDPE, blow molding
Subcategory: Polyethylene; Thermoplastic; HDPE
Close Analogs: Total Petrochemicals now includes former Fina and Atofina plastics product lines.
Material Notes: Finathene® SI 508 is part of a new generation of high density ethylene-hexene copolymers produced by the slurry loop low pressure polymerization process. Finathene® SI 508 is a high molecular weight pelletized resin intended for the blow-molding of medium size containers. Because of its high molecular weigh, Finathene SI508 may be used to produce containers with a higher impact strength, an excellent stress crack resistance and low creep under load. FINATHENE® SI 508 is best processed at temperatures between 180 and 220°C. FINATHENE® SI 508 has been especially developed for the production of containers to be submitted to the regulations for transportation of dangerous goods.
