GE Silicones RTV6108-D1 Two Part Thermal Cure Adhesive
Subcategory: Silicone; Thermoset; Polymer
Close Analogs: GE Silicones became a part of Momentive Performance Materials in 2006.
Material Notes: RTV6109-D1 silicone adhesive is a translucent, paste-like, two component, heat curing, room temperature vulcanizing material which offers primerless adhesion to a wide range of substrate materials, including many engineered plastics. It has a convenient 1:1 mix ratio, and offers a very long work life at room temperature, but curves very rapidly at elevated temperatures. Mechanical properties for 0.75 mils thick specimen cured 1 hour at 150°C. Key Performance Properties: - Excellent compression set properties
- Fast cure at elevated temperatures (10 min @ 150°C)
- Convenient 1:1 mix ratio
- Long room temperature pot-life
- No cure by-products/low shrinkage
- Outstanding thermal cycling performance
