Eliokem Sunigum® P7395 Acrylate Terpolymer
Subcategory: Elastomer, TPE; Thermoplastic
Key Words: Goodyear Chemical; Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE) modifier
Material Notes: Acrylate terpolymer partitioned with calcium carbonate. White powder; 1.00 mm particle size; medium viscosity. Intrinsically resistant to degradation by heat or UV radiation and to many chemicals including oil and fuels. Aesthetic qualities include bringing softness, matte surface finish, and leather-like appearance. It was developed for thermoplastic melt processing with a variety of resins such as PVC, CPE, COPE, TPU, ASA/ABS/SAN and other polymers with some polarity such as olefin copolymers EVA, EMA (20% min copolymer). Sumigum's basic properties and flexibilizing potential allow users to tailor-make softer grades of general purpose and engineering grades TPEs where aesthetics, color-retension, and weatherability are of prime importance. End uses include auto interior skins, auto profiles & moldings, building gaskets, coated fabric and roofing, hose & tubing, skins and leather, wire and cable. Information provided by Eliokem.
