EMS-Grivory Grilamid® L16LM Nylon 12, Dry As Molded
Subcategory: Nylon; Thermoplastic; Nylon 12
Material Notes: Grilamid L16LM is a low viscosity, extrusion grade based on nylon 12 that is designed especially for the tight jacketing of fiber optics. Thermal and UV stabilized, Grilamid L16LM maintains excellent properties over broad exposure environments. Grilamid L16LM is uniquely formulated to restrict shrinkage associated with post-crystallization to produce a buffer coating with minimal micro bending and low attenuation characteristics. The excellent attributes of Grilamid L16LM allow it to be effectively utilized in the high-speed extrusion of thin-wall sheathing. Grilamid nylon 12 resins exhibit unique properties. They offer the lowest moisture absorption of any commercially available nylon, thus providing excellent dimensional stability with mechanical properties virtually unaffected by environmental humidity.
