Material Notes:
Grilamid L25W20Y Black 9992 is a modified nylon 12 developed specifically for the Airbrake Industry. Offering improved burst pressures at higher temperatures, it also provides high flexibility and excellent toughness (even at low temperatures). With an exceptionally low specific gravity, it contributes to weight savings and lower volume costs.

Tubing processed with Grilamid L25W20Y Black 9992 meets the requirements of SAE J844d in all specified dimensions of the ISO-draft N173E, and several national and automotive company specifications for air brake tubing in automotive applications. Grilamid L25W20Y Black 9992 represents the PHLY-requirements of the DIN Airbrake Standards.

Grilamid L25W20Y Black 9992 offers an unusual combination of mechanical properties, providing outstanding flexibility and toughness, even at low temperatures, with good tensile strength. Heat and light stabilized, it provides exceptional retention of properties even after prolonged exposure to outdoor weathering and high temperatures.
