Material Notes:
Grilamid TR 55 LY is a modified grade of Grilamid TR 55. Similar to Grilamid TR 55 it provides higher practical toughness, even at lower temperatures. Light and heat stabilized, Grilamid TR 55 LY offers excellent retention of properties after prolonged exposure to outdoor weathering and high temperatures. It also offers stress cracking resistance, dimensional stability and mechanical properties virtually independent of environmental humidity. Originally developed for eyeglass frames (both safety and fashion types), Grilamid TR 55 LY may be considered for many other applications in which alcohol resistance, transparency and toughness are desired. Grilamid TR 55 LY contains no plasticizer, resists cosmetic chemicals and perspiration, does not irritate the skin and can enhance design and performance of personal care products.
