Material Notes: Grilamid TR 55 LZ is a specially modified grade of Grilamid TR 55 (amorphous nylon 12 based material) which provides exceptional toughness and resistance to chemicals, including alcohol and other cleaning agents. Because it is heat and light stabilized, Grilamid TR 55 LZ offers excellent resistance to stress cracking and retains its properties even after prolonged exposure to weathering and high temperatures. Grilamid TR 55 LZ may be considered for a variety of consumer and industrial applications in which chemical resistance, transparency and toughness are desired. Grilamid TR 55 LZ offers low moisture absorption and dimensional stability with the highest impact strength of the Grilamid TR 55 grades. Grilamid TR 55 LZ contains no plasticiser, resists cosmetic chemicals and perspiration, does not irritate the skin and can enhance design and performance of personal care products such as sport and safety spectacle frames.
