PolyOne® 2139 Black PEC Black Polyethylene
Subcategory: Polyethylene; Additive/Filler for Polymer; Thermoplastic
Material Notes:
This concentrate has been developed specifically for in-plant blending with appropriate natural high density polyethylene pipe resins to produce pipe with PE 2306, PE 3406 and PE 3408 ratings. 2139 is designed to produce pipe free of surface imperfections with minimum screen pack plugging during extrusion. The carrier resin and stabilization systems have been selected to maximize the physical and environmental properties of the pipe. A small particle size, grit free furnace carbon black has been selected to maximize resistance to outdoor weathering. The carbon black loading has been fixed to give an optimum between ease of mixing and economy. Description/Features: - Exterior-Weatherable
- Black
Applications: - Pipe-Pressure
- Pipe Fittings
- Pipe Coupling
Processing Method: Note: NSF has accepted this concentrate as a component of certain specific potable water pipe compounds. In order to meet requirements of the Plastics Pipe Institute (PPI), the pressure performance of pipe extruded from these blends must be verified. In-plant blending conditions and quality control procedures are important to achieve quality product, which will continue to meet these conditions. Information provided by PolyOne Corporation.
