Celanese GUR® 4150 UHMWPE Polyolefin Resin
Subcategory: Polyethylene; Thermoplastic; HDPE
Material Notes: Description: GUR UHMW-PE is a linear polyolefin resin with a molecular weight approximately 10 times that of high molecular weight high density polyethylene (HMW-HDPE) resins. The extremely high molecular weight of the resin (5 to 6 million) yields several unique properties including the highest abrasion resistance of our standard grades and excellent impact strength. The low coefficient of friction results in self-lubricating, non-stick surfaces. The resin is normally processed by compression molding into sheets and parts or ram extruded into rod, pipe, or profiles. The resin can also be free- sintered into porous products. This grade contains a small quantity of corrosion inhibitor. A grade without this inhibitor is designated as GUR 4050. Available only in powder form. Data provided by Ticona.
